We can make a move!

Do you notice that now we experience a rapid change of session? Why is that? What does it mean?
Well, this is what we call "Climate Change", which refers to any significant change in the measures of climate lasting for an extended period of time. In other words, climate change includes major changes in temperature, precipitation, or wind patterns, among other effects, that occur over several decades or longer.
There are a number of natural factors or causes responsible for climate change. Some of the more prominent ones are continental drift, volcanoes, ocean currents, the earth's tilt, and comets and meteorites.
Global warming do you also feel this? Global warming refers to the recent and ongoing rise in global average temperature near earth's surface. It is caused mostly by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Global warming is causing climate patterns to change. However, global warming itself represents only one aspects of climate change.
Fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas supply most of the energy needed to run vehicles, generate electricity for industries, households, etc.. the energy sector is responsible for about 3/4 of the carbon dioxide- is undoubtedly, the most important greenhouse gas in the atmosphere-emissions. 1/5 of the methane-important greenhouse gas in the atmosphere- emissions. And a large quantity of nitrous oxide. It also produces nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide which are not greenhouse gases but do have an influence on he chemical cycle in the atmosphere that produce or destroy greenhouse effect that can also lead to global warming to climate change.
And with this change of our climate we can still make a move. And with this move we protect the climate, reduce air pollution also save money. We can make a move by making a few small changes in our home like, changing a light bulb, powering down electronics, using less water, etc. reduces gas emissions and save you money. Burning gasoline and other fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide and contributes to climate change. Take action to reduce your vehicle emissions, reduce the nation's dependence on oil and save money. There are other ways to protect the climate so let's explore and do it today.

MY TEACHER MY HERO

Teachers are really wonderful people; they take care of us when we are in school which is our second home. Here, they take care of us like we are their own, teach us for the better of our future.
They teach us so that we become smart and not be left out by the others, guide us and give us advice when we fell troubled. And that are some reasons we call them HEROES.
Teachers take care of us like their own, that’s true, but they also take care of us like their friends. They treat us like their BARKADA and BEST FRIENDS. They share their stories that they encountered in their life and we might be encountering in our lives and give some tips for us to solve it and become stronger like they did.
Those are our teachers, they don’t just teach us but also they guide us and give us advices that can help us in the future.

"I AM BORN IN THE LAND WHERE MODERN DAY HEROES LIVE."

"I AM BORN IN THE LAND WHERE MODERN DAY HEROES LIVE."
Here in our modern days, we also have our modern heroes. But really, what is a hero?
When I was child, I thought heroes were just people with super powers like Superman, Darna, Captain Barbell, Elasticman and other heroes that can be seen in television. And based in the dictionary hero is a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability.
But base from my understandings now, we are all heroes because we help others, especially when they are in danger. We help them with no exchange or payment. We help them by giving them our support. We help them by believing in them and with what we do. We help them because we want them to not give up and we want to be with them and guide them ‘till they can be on their own.
That is why we are heroes, and in this modern day, we are the MODERN DAY HEROES.

NATUREADY: Unravel the causes. Build the solution. Empower science clubbers to action.

What is science? What does science do to us?
Science is one of our basic subjects that we have and have been learning. And in science there are many branches that connect to nature, life and others.
Science is important to our lives, why? Because with this we gain knowledge about life, world, matter and other things that involves us all.
Now, that there are many problems that our planet is encountering, problems that were made by us. Cutting trees, throwing garbage’s in our surroundings, using too much appliances and vehicles, burning of plastics and other materials that makes us sick, and other things that makes our environment unbalance. And these acts makes the Earth suffer, Climate Change, El Niño, La Niña and other climates.

And since we know the causes and effects of the bad things that we do to our environment, we should also know the things that can help us reduce this problems. RRR; reduce reuse recycle, this one of the solutions that can help us, especially with our garbage’s.

WIKA NATIN DAANG MATUWID

Now a days, many words had been created which are different and now we are using them. And by using these words, do we still know the meaning of those words that our elders are using?

Ikanga ni Jose Rizal "ANG TAONG HINDI MARUNONG MAGMAHAL SA SARILING WIKA AY MAS MASAHOL PA SA HAYOP AT MALANSANG ISDA."

So, even if we are being influenced by the new different words and different languages, lets us not forget and we must treasure our own words and language. Also, because of our love, respect and by using our own language we are showing that we are proud that we are Filipinos.

MOVE ON... AND TAKE ANOTHER STEP FORWARD...

For the first one and a half month of this school year 2013-2014, I can say that some days were not like a school day because we don't do much, and some are like the last days of the year because of many works we do.

We had 10 subject, some were handled and some had problems. And for those 10 subjects, I can say that the hardest subject was our ICT because of the schedule and "sagabals". Now, because we are in our fourth year of high school, which some of the 4th year student are now CAT OFFICERS, and almost all in our class are officers. They had many obligations for the school and many training. Also the schedule of our ICT is on 4:00-5:00 pm, which is time for the CATs and also the time for club meetings.

But with those "sagabals", it made our bond stronger and made us study more to be prepared for the test. And it me realize that even if I had notes, I still need to read it and scan it for me to be prepared, also it made me realize to make the requirement or activities on time and better.

For this 2nd and the coming 3rd and 4th grading, I promise to myself to do my best and make sure that these grading will me better, easier and effective.

STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS 2013

Last, July 22, 2013 at the Session Hall of the Representatives, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City, President Benigno S. Aquino III delivered his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA). the SONA 2013, lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes, at 55 pages, and was considered his longest address since he was elected to post on 2010.

There are 2 main topic that he had talk about in his speech, which are: "Tamang daan na Tinatahak" where he talked about the last election where 9 seats out of 12 of the candidates he endorsed, occupied the highest 9 seats in the senate, and also his accomplishments for the past three years of his administration. And one of his topics is the TESDA-DOLE scholarship. The total of 403,521 students estimated that six out of ten scholars land a job, which posed a significant increase from the employment rate among TESDA scholars in the past years.

"GUTOM AT MALNUTRISYON SAMA-SAMA NATING WAKASAN"

For this July 2013, we celebrate the Nutrition month, which has the theme "GUTOM AT MALNUTRISYON SAMA-SAMA NATING WAKASAN."

In old times, starvation and malnutrition were not the major problem of our country. We didn't have over populated places, we had enough food for the people. But, compared to our current day, many people now are suffering from starvation and being malnourished because we have over populated places especially some parts of Manila, which we call now "squatter's area".

Lack of food, healthy and nutritious food, is one reason so some of them only eat rice with salt or oil, or even skipping the meal. And if these increasing population and decreasing food supplies, more people will suffer starvation and malnutrition.

So, for the people who are suffering from it we could help them by having free medical missions, giving or donating food supply. And by doing so, we can prevent people from starvation and malnutrition. And if this continuous  and with their cooperation these problems can be removed.

Letter to President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino

To President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III

Good day Sir, I am Julie Anne R. Pimentel, a student of
Ilocos Sur National High School, wrote this letter to tell you Sir about my opinion and concern about some problems of our country.

Corruption is our major problem in our country, which the citizen yelling for. And corruption is also believed to be caused by our government officials, that they are stealing or hiding the money that we earn by paying our taxes. So we are asking for your cooperation to show us all the SALNs of the government officials, that contain all the properties owned, businesses ,and moneys, so we can know the amount increases and decreases of those and for us to know where you get those money and properties.

And we also know that poverty is the problem of our citizens, one example is the over population of some places in our country. And in that place, they would have low amount of food supply, only few children can go to school because only  few have jobs for them to earn. Also when a place have more population than normal, there would be least place for them to build there houses, so they would build there houses at the river sides or under the bridges or other places just for them to have somewhere to build their houses.

Now, that we are experiencing rainy season, we are also suffering from floods.  I know that the MMDA had been preparing to lessen the percentage of the height or occurrence of flood in the places by cleaning and removing the waste from canals and drainage to make the water to travel with no blockage. But, then again, why are we still suffering from floods? Well, we are still suffering from floods because of the people living at the river sides and under the bridges, and of course us too because of littering, throwing  waste, and plastic and other things to the surroundings and also in water. And when it rains, it causes blocking of the water drainage, then the water raises and it cause flood. And when it floods it also carries millions or maybe billions of germs and viruses that we get when we walk in the floods, that can also cause us to get illness.

So for the us, the citizens to have safer place to live in and stay, the government officials must show their SALNs so that it won't cause corruption, to poverty, to low education and employment status, to having house in dangerous places, and to many more. And also if the roller wants to have good followers, then the rollers must also be a good roller and a good example for all.

And again, good day to you.
